Juntetsu Shears: Consistent Quality for Every Career Stage

製品情報

Juntetsu Shears has earned a straightforward reputation: reliable scissors at a price point that works for professionals at every stage of their career. The range doesn’t chase novelty — it delivers consistent, well-made scissors that hold up in daily salon use. Production finishes in Saitama, Japan.

The Juntetsu Approach

Not every stylist needs a premium-tier scissor. A student picking up their first professional pair has different requirements from a senior stylist with 15 years of daily use. Juntetsu is built around that spectrum.

The range uses 440C stainless steel throughout — a well-regarded professional grade that balances solid performance with straightforward maintenance. 440C is the most widely used professional scissor steel worldwide: it sharpens easily, resists corrosion reliably, and performs consistently in daily salon conditions.

The Juntetsu Range

Juntetsu Standard

The core model in the range. Offset handle, convex edge, 440C steel. Available from 5.0 to 6.5 inches.

The Standard delivers what the name promises: a properly made professional scissor without unnecessary complexity. It suits a wide range of cutting techniques and is durable enough for daily commercial use over many years.

This is the scissor many stylists reach for as a workhorse tool — reliable, well-balanced, and easy to maintain.

Juntetsu Thinning

The thinning scissor in the Juntetsu range. 22-tooth design with a lighter removal rate — well-suited to natural blending and volume reduction where a conservative approach is appropriate.

The 22-tooth design leaves a softer blending result than coarser thinning scissors, with less visible cut line. A good choice for fine hair, colour-treated hair, or clients who want subtle texture rather than significant volume removal.

Juntetsu Entry

An entry model designed specifically for stylists starting their careers. Even (symmetrical) handle, semi-convex edge, 440C steel. Available in 5.0 and 5.5 inches.

The Entry is produced to the same quality inspection and tension adjustment standard as the rest of the Juntetsu range. The difference is in the steel specification and handle design, both chosen to suit a stylist who is still building technique and wants an accessible, well-made first professional scissor.

Who Juntetsu Is For

Juntetsu suits a few different situations:

Students and new professionals: The Entry model is a properly constructed professional scissor at a price that fits an early career. It will grow with you.

Established stylists looking for a reliable secondary scissor: Some stylists keep a premium scissor for detailed client work and a Juntetsu Standard as a daily workhorse for bulk cutting. The cost is lower; the quality is still professional.

Salons equipping a team: For salon owners buying scissors for employed stylists, the Juntetsu range provides consistent, professional quality at a manageable per-unit cost.
