Scissor Lab operates through a network of authorised distributors across multiple countries. Each distributor is a local business with deep knowledge of their regional market — they source from us, support their customers, and provide the kind of on-the-ground service that a Japan-based company cannot provide alone.

How the Network Works

Scissor Lab’s role is quality control and supply chain. We work directly with Japanese manufacturers, inspect and select each product before it leaves Japan, and manage logistics to our distribution partners around the world.

Our distributors handle the rest: local inventory, customer relationships, trade sales, and after-sales support. This model means a salon owner in São Paulo or a scissors retailer in Stockholm is buying from someone who knows their market, not navigating international customs and communication barriers on their own.

Authorised distributors carry the full Scissor Lab range — Mina Shears, Ichiro Shears, and Juntetsu Shears — and are trained in product knowledge. When you buy through a Scissor Lab distributor, you are buying genuine product with full provenance.

Becoming a Distributor

We are actively looking for distribution partners in markets where we are not yet represented. If you operate a professional beauty supply business, scissors retail operation, or similar trade business and are interested in carrying Scissor Lab products, we want to hear from you.

We look for distributors who:

• Have an existing B2B or trade customer base in the professional beauty sector
• Can provide dedicated sales and after-sales support for professional scissors
• Are interested in a long-term, exclusive partnership in their territory

Quality Assurance Across the Network

One of the most common concerns buyers have with imported professional tools is authenticity and consistency. Every Scissor Lab product that reaches our distributors has been inspected at source. We do not supply grey-market or second-grade product through any channel.
